Hale, Emma (10 June 1877 - 25 September 1972)
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 from the
Georgas Funeral Home for a former Humbird resident, Mrs. Emma Hale, 95, of
Memorial Home, who died September 25. The Rev. Harold Kirkpatrick of officiate
and burial will be made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery at Humbird.
Mrs. Hale, the daughter of Jard W. and Charolette L. (Senogles) Fox, was born
June 10, 1877, at Glendale, near Elroy, and was educated in schools there. She
taught school for several years. Her marriage to Edward Thompson Hale took place
September 15m 1898, at Elroy. The couple lived in Elroy, Valley Junction and
Greenwood before moving to Humbird where he was editor of the Humbird
Enterprise. After his death in 1958 Mrs. Hale continued to live in Humbird until
entering Memorial Home about a year ago. She was a member of Humbird Chapter No.
109, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Alice) Calvert of Benton and Mrs.
R. C. (Catherine) Jolin of Rice Lake; and two grandchildren.
