Doug Deuel, who lists walking on a warm summer night, playing guitar for an appreciative audience and traveling with Attila the Huns as his most avid likes, was born May 7, 1947. This member of the Huns has been active in intramurals, freshmen football and basketball, and the senior class play during his four years at THS. The things that he remembers most are when Attila and the Huns were first formed in April 1964, the first day at the new school, the first basketball games there, and the time when the Huns made their first record, "Cheryl and the Lonely Huns", in their senior year at Thorp High. Doug's favorite expressions, "No, do your?" and "Neat huh!", supplemented by his advice to freshmen, "Do what you're told by the teachers," indicate his interest in both the serious and comic sides of life. He intends to work this summer and then join the Air Force in the fall of '66.
