------ House, Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Gold - 14 JUN 1966)
Mr. and Mrs. Henry House of Abbotsford received the congratulations and best wishes of about 175 relatives and friends during open house Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran parish hall at Curtiss. They came from Waupaca, Minneapolis, Stetsonville, Chippewa Falls, Abbotsford, Colby, Curtiss and surrounding area for the occasion.
Among those present were two of the four members of the bridal party of June 14, 1916, when Margie Peissig and Henry House were married; Mrs. Sam (Hattie) Harris of Waupaca and Edgar Paul of Stetsonville.
Mr. and Mrs. House farmed in the Curtiss area most of their married life. Mr. House was also a cheese maker. After retirement they came to Abbotsford where both, in good health, keep themselves very busy with their home, garden, and their hobbies.
They have one son, Harold, of Abbotsford and two grand children.
Mr. House has an only
sister, Mrs. Sam (Hattie) Harris, of Waupaca. Mrs. House is one of a family of
nine children and has two sisters and five brothers; Mrs. Melanie Kutts in
California, Mrs. Lester (Hilda) Bowen, Emery and Franklin Peissig, all of
Curtiss, Ted and Ollie Peissig of Minneapolis, and Arthur Peissig of Chippewa
Falls.
