Mrs. Clarence Micke attended the funeral Tuesday of their uncle, the late John
Pritzel of Clarks Mills. She was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Micke of Owen
and Mr. Ray Ketterhagen of Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Yurich of Minneapolis were weekend guests of their
grandparents, the Clarence Gidden's of Polley.
Tuesday Mrs. John Brandt, Mrs. Mary Kornesczuk and Mrs. Josephine Walgorski were
business callers in Chippewa.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Romig returned home Friday night from a two month vacation.
They spent most of their time in Benson, Ariz. They visited the Duane Romig's
and Aubrey McMannis' at Fullerton, Calif., before returning home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hartzell were visitors at the Larry Hartzell home Thursday
evening, March 24th. The occasion was April Lynne Hartzell's 1st birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gay spent Sunday p.m. with Mr. and Mrs. Louie Rembleski's in
Aurora.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Glidden of Minneapolis were Sunday supper guests of the
former's parents, the Clarence Glidden's in Polley. Carolyn and Larry Glidden
spent the day with their grandparents.
Monday, Ed Gay made a business trip to Owen.
Word was received here of the death of a former resident, the late Joe Hair Sr.
of Watertown.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hartzell and Leonard Nichols helped grandpa Henry Nichols
celebrate his 92nd birthday at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley, Tuesday,
March 22nd.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry O'Connell and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Williger spent Sunday at the
Abramowicz home in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gay were Stanley callers Tuesday and visited at the Clinic.
Mary Lou Staroselec, a student at Stout University at Menomonie, spent the
weekend with relatives here.
Mrs. Ed Schultz and son Jim and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Brown and son Gary of Hannibal
were supper guests Friday evening at the Harold Helgerson home in Cornell. They
also called on the former's mother, Mrs. Mabel Lee at the Stanley Nursing Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Hall and daughter Louann of Eau Claire were dinner and supper
guests at the Stanley Liazuk home.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Glebke of Hannibal were also supper guests.
Pat Schultz and friend Susan Meagher of Hawkins were Friday afternoon guests at
the ed Schultz home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Knapp were Sunday p.m. visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Knapp
in Aurora.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Szymanski of Thorp were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.
B.L. Slota.
Mrs. Anna Brandt and Mrs. Mary Kornesczuk were business callers in Medford
Monday.
Mrs. Frank Herman returned home Saturday from Milwaukee, after spending 2 weeks
with her husband and other relatives.
