John Robert Boardman, known to almost everyone as Bob, is one of the Senior
Class' most active and successful students, both in academic and non-academic
subjects.
Most students would balk at the idea of getting up before 6:00 in the morning to
deliver papers, but this apparently does not curb Bob's energy, for he had been
active in most extracurricular activities. Bob has gone out for four years of
football, in which he was a starting guard and linebacker, three years of
basketball, and four years of baseball.
Besides there, he has been class vice-president, Bruit 66 sports editor, student
council representative and vice-president of the National Honor Society, in
which he had been a member for three years.
However, Bob has not neglected his schoolwork. He has taken the accelerated
science courses and four years of math, and has still received excellent marks.
Bob was one of the two students selected to be eligible for the Elk's Award for
Scholarship.
Bob plans to enter Wis. State University at Eau Claire, but has not decided on a
major.
