Brandt, Herman (26 January 1897 - 30 September 1972)

Funeral services for a former Neillsville resident, Herman Brandt, 75, of Green Bay, who died there September 30, were held Tuesday, October 3, at 3 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Glock of Green Bay officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mr. Brandt, the son of the Rev. Herman and Mrs. Minnie (Hilgendorf) Brandt, was born January 26, 1897, in Milwaukee. He came to Neillsville with his parents and was educated here, graduating from Neillsville High School. A veteran of World War I, he served with the U. S. forces overseas. Mr. Brandt attended embalming college and had worked in Baraboo and in Milwaukee. Following retirement, he lived in Green Bay for the last several years. His marriage to the former Eula Irvine took place in Neillsville in May of 1921.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Woodrow (Ardyth) Jepson of Breen Bay; a sister, Mrs. Ida Nehls of Neillsville; four brothers, Paul Brandt of Pittsburgh, Pa., John C. Brandt of Neillsville, Arnold Brandt of Wauwatosa and the Rev. Fred Brandt of Appleton; and two grandchildren.
