Carol Jean Schultz, 9 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schultz, died Thursday, June 23, at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, from skull fracture and head injuries suffered in a bicycle-truck accident the previous Monday.
Her body lay in repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home from Saturday evening until time of services.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in the town of Green Grove with Rev. Arthur Rasch officiating interment was made in the Green Grove cemetery.
Carol Jean was born June 8, 1957, in Marshfield, and was a student at the Colby elementary school. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and it’s Sunday school.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, David, River Falls, Kenneth, Chicago, Ill., Ronald and Gary, at home; her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kuski, Kirkland, Wash., and Mrs. Amanda Augustine, Colby.
The Sunday school choir sang “Beautiful Savior” and Miss Julene Radlinger sang “Nearer My God To Thee” with Elaine Boss accompanying them as organist.
Pallbearers were Dennis Augustine, Wayne Schulz, John Boss, Jay Block, Bruce Castner and Junior Umloeft.
All 15 members of Carol’s class in school were flower bearers.
Attending the
services were Mrs. Ray Fraki, Mrs. Donald Slager, Bernita Augustine and Ernest
Augustine, St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Block, Sarasota, Fla., Mr. and
Mrs. John Kuski, Kirkland, Wash., Mrs. Sophie Burkhardt, Thorp, Rev. and Mrs. M.
C. Goeth, Merrill and many friends and relatives from Marshfield, Milwaukee,
Spencer, Unity, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Owen, Loyal, Colby and the surrounding
community.
