Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox were Marshfield visitors Thursday.

Mrs. Palmer Vinger spent the weekend with friends at Eau Claire.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ludwig spent from Sunday until Tuesday at Minneapolis.

Miss Irene Varney of Neillsville spent Sunday with her father, Chas. Varney.

Mrs. Palmer Vinger entertained the members of the Merry-go-round Club at her home last evening.

The West Side Ladies Aid will meet at the schoolhouse Wednesday, Feb. 7th. No lunch will be served.

Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Schiller and Mrs. Wm. Steiger were Marshfield callers Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gaurke and sons Lester and Oscar of Athens spent Monday at the Christ Keiner home.

The Kings Heralds and Little Light Bearers meet at the M.E. Church basement Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o
Clock.

The W.F.M.S. meet with Mrs. A.J. Allard Thursday afternoon.

The Misses Lucille Prock and Emma Noeldner attended a hairdressers convention at Wausau on Monday.

Mrs. Ray Knutson of La Crosse arrived here Saturday for an extended visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Peterson.

Leo Meyer, Loyal, and Louis Kurth, Neillsville, were included in a list of nominations for postmasters submitted to the United States Senate for approval.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Rear entertained Dr. and Mrs. W.A. Olson and Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Gullord at 6 o'clock dinner last Sunday evening in honor of their son, Dwayne's, 6th birthday.

Mrs. Wm. Neuenfeldt will entertain the members of the Schafskopf Club at her home this evening.

Misses Lucille Schwarze and Vern Humke, who are attending Eau Claire Normal, spent the weekend here with their respective parents.

Miss Bethel Lenz entertained the Misses Velma Hindal and Nola Johnson, and Mrs. Ruth Wiltsey, at a theater party Friday evening, after which a delicious lunch was served at the Home Restaurant.

John Drummond, Walter Hubble and A.S. Armstrong have been selected to make the traffic count at the junction of Highways 73 and 98, two miles south of Greenwood. The men went to work Monday morning.

Mrs. W.R. Howard had the misfortune to fall and break a bone in her left hip. The accident occurred Monday. Mrs. Howard was going from the hall into the dining room, when she tripped on the congoleum and fell, causing the injury.

Mrs. Louis Brown entertained the members of the Birthday Club at her home Sunday evening. Three tables of 500 were in play and the following prizes awarded: Irene O'Connell, Wm. C. Steiger, Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and Wm. Neuenfeldt.

Mrs. Rob Waseca, 69, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Susa, southwest of Greenwood, Wednesday morning, Jan. 31. Many years ago Mrs. Waseca broke her hip. Her husband died several years ago, since which time she has made her home with her daughter. She has been ill and confined to her bed since Labor Day.

Art Etta, Town of Mead, last week confessed to robbing the Picos store in this city last October. Etta was sentenced to from one to three years and paroled to the state board of control when he appeared before Judge E.W. Crosby at Neillsville. Ira Radke, town of Eaton, is in the County jail on the same charge.
