Armitage, Benjamin K. (25 APR 1978 – 30 JUL 2014)

Ben Armitage, age 36, of Eau Claire, WI died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at his home.

Benjamin Knowles Armitage was born on April 25, 1978 in Marshfield, WI the son of Neil and Corinne (Stewart) Armitage. He graduated from Neillsville High School in 1996. After graduation he worked at Modern of Marshfield. In 2002, he moved to Menomonie, WI and worked at the Walmart Distribution Center. Ben was united in marriage to Melissa Bublitz on July 15, 2006 in Withee, WI. They have two children, Mason and Raddek.

Ben loved to spend time with family and friends, golf, listen to music, watch movies, go deer hunting, take relaxing candlelight baths and catch bottle bass on the lakes. Most of all, though, he loved to hang-out with his boys.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa, two sons, Mason and Raddek, his parents, Neil and Corinne Armitage of Neillsville, WI, a brother, Justin (Melissa) Armitage of River Falls, WI, a sister, Stacy (Eric) Opelt of Ladysmith, WI, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glen and Becky (Hehl) Bublitz of Owen-Withee, WI and sisters-in-law, Jennifer (Troy) Trybula of Queensland, Australia and Kimberly (Don) Goodwin of Wisconsin Dells, WI.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a good friend, Mike Kuchenbecker.

A Memorial Service for Ben will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Pastor Jacoba Koppert will officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Withee, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Church.
