Greenwood (26 October 1972)

The Come and Know Homemakers met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. A. C. Standiford. New officers elected are; Mrs. Leonard Olson, president; Mrs. Arthur Turnquist, secretary; Mrs. Howard Olsen, health chairman; Mrs. Godfrey Dyre, safety chairman; Mrs. Tom Querin, international relations. Mrs. Querin talked on UNICEF. The next meeting will be held Monday evening, November 13, at the home of Mrs. Carl Turnquist. Mrs. Godfrey Dyre will give a safety lesson.

The American Lutheran Church Women will meet today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Arthur Turnquist, Mrs. Ronald Tieman and Mrs. Ed Trunkel.

The Women’s Guild will meet in Immanuel Untied Church of Christ November 1 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Emma Hium and Mrs. Herbert horn will be the hostesses. The spiritual life topic will be give by Mrs. Alvin Albert.

The Women’s Guild meeting will held held November 2 at 2 p.m. in Zion United Church. Miss Louise Keiner will be in charge of the program. Hostesses will be Mrs. Phillip Vollrath and Mrs. Quinton Irvine.

Ernest Elmer was admitted October 12 to the Veterans’ Hospital in Madison and underwent surgery there October 16. Those who visited him there Thursday were his wife and her brother, Fritz Franz.
