A card party was held at the Marl Smith home Friday evening. A very good time
was had by all, and the prizes were won as follows: First, Mrs. Robert Acker,
Matt Biever; Second, Mrs. Walter Acker, George Klein; Booby, Mrs. Henry Schnoor
and Robert Acker.
Mrs. George Klein entertained the Card Club from the south side Saturday night.
Albert Ehlert's spent Sunday at Mat Biever's.
Mrs. Carl Gust and children spent Saturday with Mrs. Otis Stowe.
The neighbors helped Mrs. Jake Brumbaugh celebrate her birthday Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Walter, Mrs. Joe Walter and daughter Virginia called on Mrs.
George Reinhardt, who is sick.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kelty of Unity visited with John Kelty Wednesday.
Mrs. Harris Jolivette and daughters and Mrs. Robson had dinner with Mrs. August
Stabnow.
Callers who came to see Emil Haupt were Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rossow, Mr. and Mrs.
Preller and family and Mr. Barrett on Sunday.
Louie Haupt of Wittenberg and Wm. Haupt and son Frankie of Milwaukee visited
their brother Emil Haupt and family over the weekend.
Word was received that Mrs. Ezra Scovel had died some time ago. She will be
remembered here by man, as they lived for some time on the place where G. Kosik
now lives.
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Severson and children visited with her mother, Mrs. August
Stabnow, Saturday.
