Miss Mabel Shupe of Granton spent the weekend at the Joe Brauneis home.
Sarina Minsaas underwent an operation at the Neillsville Hospital on Tuesday.
Mrs. G.A. LeGault and Mrs. V. Shereda of Owen spent Tuesday at the A.C. Buker
home.
Miss Alma M. Runge, Library visitor from the Library School at Madison, visited
the local library Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Hartson, Mrs. H.H. Hartson and Mrs. H.W. Stabnow were
Marshfield visitors Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Philpott of Loyal spent Monday at the Chas. Pickruhn home.
Arthur Hoops and Harry Liebzeit visited the Laurence Millard home at
Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. George E. Rude and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Hubing of
Neillsville spent Sunday at the Oscar Rear home.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner, Mrs. Joe Merkel and Mrs. H. Warner visited at the C.R.
Greene home in Butlerville Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lydickson of Spokeville spent Sunday at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Pickruhn.
Miss Jessie Bar, R.N., of Eau Claire, is spending the week at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Barr.
The Intermediate League of Grace M.E. Church elected the following officers last
week: President – Garth Haeuser; 1st Vice Pres. – Don Wallis; 2nd Vice Pres. –
Dale Stabnow; 3rd Vice Pres. – Frances Meng; 4th Vice Pres. – Ganet Opdycke;
Sec.-Treas. – Marion Bredesen.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Speich and daughter arrived here last Wednesday and will
visit relatives before moving to Neillsville, where Harry is working in the
office of District Attorney Haight. Harry graduated from Law School at the
University of Wisconsin this winter.
All DRY voters remember that Apr. 3rd is election day.
Ralph Macknick and Albert Neuenfeldt were Marshfield visitors Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Steiger and Mrs. T.F. Schiller were Loyal callers Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. I.W. Stafford and Mrs. A.J. Currie were Marshfield callers
Saturday.
C.A. Olson of Neillsville spent Friday here at the home of his brother, Dr. Wm.
A. Olson.
Mrs. A.J. Currie entertained the members of the Intersee Club at her home last
evening.
Mrs. Jos. Brauneis will entertain the members of the Suffragette Club at her
home this evening.
Mrs. Anna Speich left Saturday for Oshkosh to attend the funeral of a cousin,
and will visit relatives there.
Mrs. Ed Noah entered St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday, where she
underwent an operation for gall stones.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Borham and son Harold, and Mrs. T. F. Schiller and daughter
Frances were Marshfield callers Saturday.
Adolph Schwarze and H.L. Corey spent wedn and Thursday of last week in the
northern part of the state.
Palmer Vinger transacted business at Rochester and Owatonna, Minn., and New
Hampton, Iowa, last Thursday and Friday.
W.M. Pratt went to Jim Falls Sunday to get Mrs. Pratt, who spent the week there
at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Tyrrell.
The local Women's Club have received nearly half the number of orders needed for
the printing of their history. Please send you order as soon as possible.
Atty. And Mrs. Wm. O'Connell and son John and Miss Rosetta Hillier of Fox Lake
were visitors at the J. O'Connell and Wm. Neuenfeldt homes Saturday.
