Armitage, Benjamin Knowles (25 April 1978 - 30 July 2014)
Ben Armitage, 36, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his home.
Benjamin Knowles Armitage was born April 25, 1978 In Marshfield, the son of Neil
and Corinne (Stewart) Armitage. He graduated from Neillsville High School in
1996. After graduation, he worked at Modern of Marshfield. In 2002, he moved to
Menomonie and worked at the Walmart Distribution Center. Ben was united in
marriage to Melissa Bublitz July 15, 2006, in Withee. They have two children,
Mason and Raddek.
Ben loved to spend time with family and friends, golf, listen to music, watch
movies, go deer hunting, take relaxing candlelight baths and catch bottle bass
on the lakes, but most of all, though, he loved to hang out with his boys.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa; two sons, Mason and Raddek; his parents,
Neil and Corinne Armitage of Neillsville; a brother Justin (Melissa) Armitage of
River Falls; a sister, Stacy (Eric) Opelt of Ladysmith; his mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Glen and Becky (Hehl) Bublitz of Owen-Withee; and sisters-in-law,
Jennifer (Troy) Trybula of Queensland, Australia and Kimberly (Don) Goodwin of
Wisconsin Dells.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a good friend, Mike
Kuchenbecker.
A memorial service for Ben was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the United
Church of Christ in Neillsville. Pastor Jacoba Koppert officiated. Interment was
in the Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday
at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10 a. m. to 11 a.m. Saturday
at the church.
