Rondorf, Betty Jean (6 August 1946 - 29 July 2014)
Betty Rondorf, 67, of Greenwood died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at her home,
surrounded by her loving family.
Betty Jean Rondorf was born Aug. 6, 1946, in Marshfield, the daughter of Gilbert
and Jean (Kruger) Loos. She graduated from Loyal High School and then moved to
Madison, where she worked for the state for one and one-half years. She was
united in marriage to Raymond A. Rondorf Sept. 4, 1965, in Loyal. The lived in
Loyal for two years and took over Ray’s parent’s farm in 1969 where they farmed
unto 1993. They sold their farm and built a house in Greenwood, and Betty began
working for Dairy Concepts. She worked there for 10 years. In 2003, she started
an in-home daycare, which she continued until recently.
Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood and also a member
of Country Bumpkins Homemaker’s club. She loved to bake, make woodcrafts with
Ray and garden, which included volunteering at Tender Shoots Greenhouse. She
also loved to go fishing and relax on the pontoon. Most of all, she loved her
family, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting
activities.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; seven children: Doug (Kathy) Rondorf of
Marengo, IL, Deanna (Greg) Hoeser of Loyal, Sandra (Bradley) Zimbauer of
Greenwood, Kim (James) Gilbertson of Granton, Don (Trisha) Rondorf of Black
River Falls, Kelly (Tyler) Stenulson of Neillsville, and Kristy (Justin) Ehlers
of Stratford; 18 grandchildren, Dustin and Kaila Rondorf; Nikki, Katlin and
Olivea Hoeser; Zachary, Alex and Cole Zimbauer; Dillon, Mackenzie and Walker
Gilbertson; Jordan, Chloe and Tyler Rondorf; Nevaeh and Danika Stenulson; and
Andi and Easton Ehlers. Betty is also survived by four siblings: Tom (Betty)
Loos of Loyal, Bob (Jackie) Loos of loyal, Pat (Glen) Bennett of Loyal and Mike
(Pam) Loos of Marshfield; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Jean Loos, and in-laws,
Alfred and Mae Rondorf.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014,
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Celebrant was Fr. Charles Hiebl.
Music was provided ay St. Mary’s Church. Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday and from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for designation at a
later date.
Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood assisted Betty’s family with arrangements.
