Rouiller, Susan F. (Hessefort) (15 MAR 1944 - 7 AUG 2014)
Susan F. Rouiller, 70, Medford, died on Thursday, Aug. 7 at Aspirus Wausau
Hospital, where she had been a patient the past 11 days.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in Medford, with Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time
of service.
Hemer Funeral Home of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with
arrangements.
The former Susan Hessefort was born on March 25, 1944 in Medford to the late
Ervin and Eva (Larson) Hessefort. She attended Medford area elementary schools,
was a 1962 graduate of Medford High School and attended UW-Marathon County
majoring in social work.
In 1963 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married James H. Rouiller and they
were later divorced. She worked at Weather Shield then at Opportunity Inc. in
Wausau prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford Lions Club where she
received the 2014 Lion of the Year Award, and volunteered for the Kiwanis
Medford Reads Program for the past three years. She enjoyed gardening and
spending time with her family and two grandsons.
Survivors include three sons, Jeff, Todd and Brian (Julie) Rouiller, all of
Medford; five sisters, Sharon (Carl) Paetzold of Wausau, Shirley (Dave) Lemke
and Eileen Mundt, both of Medford, Gail (Dave) LaFontaine of Marshfield, and
Sandra Kolasa of Tomahawk; two sisters-in-law, Mary Byron Hessefort of
Rhinelander and Kathleen Toolin Hessefort of New Hampshire; two grandsons, Kyle
and Logan Rouiller, both of Medford; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and
friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann
Rouiller in 1990; two brothers, Glenn and Ervin Hessefort; and a brother-in-law,
Bill Kolasa.
