Yeray, Apolinija (4 September 1902 - 16 October 1972)
Mrs. Joseph Yeray, 70, onetime Willard resident, died October 16, at St.
Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Funeral services were held October 18 from St.
Cyril and Metodius Catholic Church there. The Rev. Louis Koren officiated and
burial was made in Greendale Cemetery there.
Pallbearers were six nephews, John and William Govek, Richard and Paul Govek,
James and Richard Mallmann.
The former Apolinija Govek was born September 4, 1902, in Sheboygan to Frank and
Apolinija (Maslovec) Govek. She came with her parents to Willard in 1913. In
1918 she went to Sheboygan where she was married July 4, 1921 to Joseph Yeray
who survives her. They lived in Montana from 1922 to 1925 when they moved back
to Sheboygan. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on July 4, 197l.
Surviving besides her husband area a son, Joseph, of Whitefish Bay; a daughter,
Mrs. Robert (Anna) Kovacic, of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; four brothers,
Joseph Govek of Sheboygan, Tony Govek of Milwaukee, Louis Govek of San Jose,
Calif., and Frank Govek of Willard; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Lesar of
West Bend and Mrs. Alex (Anna) Mallmann of West Allis.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek and Mrs. Ronald Volovsek and Kayra of Willard, John
Govek of Medford, William Govek of Milwaukee and Carol Govek of Eau Claire
attended the funeral.
