Lokken, Lana Kay (21 June 1969)

Miss Lana Kay Lokken, route 1, Loyal exchanged wedding vows with M.Glen Thompson, Glenmora, La. on Saturday, June 21st at 8 p.m.at a candlelight double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lokken, route 1, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Mileas Thompson, Glenmora, La.

The Rev. William Humlie, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiated. Paul Nixdorf, Dorchester was the organist and Holly Roessler, Brookfield and Gail Hatcber Sturm were the singers.

The bride given in marriage by her father was seen in a floor length empire gown of Venice lace with an A-line skirt, completed with a wateau train attached at the shoulders. Her bouffant illusion veil was secured to a floral cluster headpiece with pearl trim. She arried a cascade arrangement of yellow and white glormellas and fern.

Miss Lokken, Loyal was the maid of honor and Miss Sandra Rossow, Loyal, was the bridesmaid.

The aides were seen in aqua floor length empire gowns of lace with a chiffon panel at the back attached to the shoulders. Each carried a cascade arrangement of yellow Gladioli and ferns.

Kelly Haslow was the flower girl and Scott Lokken was the ringbearer.

Marvin Lokken, Loysl was the best man and Mark Perry, Sauk City, was the groomsman.

Ushering the weeding guests were Gary Brey and Tom Lokken.

The reception and buffet dinner followed immediately in the church.

The bride is a 1966 graduate of Loyal High School and the past 3 years attended WSU-EAU Claire where she is a charter member of Sigma Alpha Iota. She has transferred to LSU - Baton Rouge for her final year.

The groom graduated from Plainview High School in 1962 and graduated from Houston Industrial Welding School. He is now employed as a welder in Kentucky for the summer.

The couple will make their home in Baton Rouge, La. as of September.
