Greenwood (9 November 1972)

Mrs. Robert Stewart was dismissed from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. Robert Stewart, Jr., of Stanley spent Wednesday with his parents here.

Mrs. William Kavanaugh entertained the Bridgettes last week Thursday evening.

Mr and Mrs. Lawrence Cox spent Sunday in Eau Claire at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jerrold Kuester. The Kuesters entertained in honor of the birthday of Mrs. Cox, which was October 26.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist and daughter, Sue, spent the weekend in Hayfield, Minn., where on Sunday they attended the baptism of their granddaughter, Tara Courtney Turnquist, the first child of Mr. and Mrs. William Turnquist.

Mrs. Gust Horn has returned after spending three weeks in Prairie du Sac at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Stanke.

Relatives and friends helped Mrs. Vera Wuethrich celebrate her 82nd birthday at her home Thursday afternoon.

Leon Kuester and Hugh Christie returned Thursday after spending a week in Montana on a successful hunting trip.

Ernest Elmer has been dismissed from the Veteran’s Hospital in Madison, where he was a surgical patient.

The Wednesday afternoon bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Glen Drew.

Mrs. Victor Vinger and Mrs. Ed Rogatz of Stanley visited Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Palmer Vinger.

Mrs. Lawrence Cox entertained members of the Wednesday afternoon bridge club Wednesday.

Overnight guests Wednesday at the Doc Meinholdt home were his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Decker of Ronan, Mont.
