Sonderegger, Martha (4 September 1891 - 1 November 1972)

Mrs. Martha Sonderegger, 81, a former Greenwood resident, died November 1 at the Riviera Nursing Home in South Miami, Fla.

The former Martha Beerli was born September 4, 1891, in Berneck, Switzerland. She came to the United States shortly before her marriage September 20, 1920 to Jacob Sonderegger in Neillsville. They farmed east of Greenwood. Mr. Sonderegger died October 27, 1943. Since 1948 Mrs. Sonderegger had resided with her daughter, Miss Martha Sonderegger, in South Miami, Fla.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha, and another daughter, Mrs. Donald (Catherine) Wells of Greenwood; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida, in Switzerland.

Funeral services were held November 3 at the Lithgow Funeral Home in Miami, Fla., followed by cremation. The ashes will be interred in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
