Stratham, Hildur (2 May 1892 - 4 Oct. 1966)

Mrs. Hildur Stratham, 74 of Colby died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 2:15 a.m. after suffering a heart attack.

The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, until Thursday at 2 p.m. when funeral services will be conducted there by the Rev. R. J. Hagen.  Interment will be made in Colby Memorial cemetery.

Mrs. Stratham, the former Hildur Larson, was born in Colby May 2, 1892, and received her education in Colby schools.  She married in 1920 to Fred Stratham, who preceded her in death in 1939.

The couple lived and farmed in the town of Hull, Marathon county, until his death.  Mrs. Stratham then moved to Colby where she maintained her home until her death.

Mrs. Stratham was a member of the Methodist church at Colby and the Ladies’ Aid.  She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Surviving her are two sons, Gerald Stratham of Racine and Eugene Stratham of Abbotsford, and on daughter, Mrs. Murray (Virginia) Callies of Edgar.  There are 14 grandchildren.

She also leaves three brothers, Elmer Larson of King, Walter Larson of Wausau and Ivan Larson of Marshsfield.

RESOLUSTION OF RESPECT

In memory of neighbor, Hildur Stratham, who died October 4, 1966.

WHEREAS, our Heavenly Father in his infinite wisdom, has entered our camp and has called another member to eternal rest, and WHEREAS, the memory of our beloved neighbor wil linger in our hearts, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the heartfelt sympathy of the members of Midge City Camp No. 2666, Royal Neighbors of America, be extended to the bereaved family, and be it further RESOLVED, that our charter be draped in mourning for a period of thirty days as a token to our sorrow, that this Resolution be spread on the records of our Camp and that a copy of the Resolution be sent to the family.

GOD’S GARDEN

A flower from our garden

   Has been taken out to grow

Where light and love are perfect

   More joy than we could know.

Look up and still remember

   Within a garden fair

We gave a flower blossom

   Into His loving care.
