Boushon, Carol (1936 - 10 August 2014)
Carol Boushon, 78, a resident of Spooner, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at the
Rice Lake Convalescent Center.
Carol was born in 1936, in Granton to parents Merton and Hilda Holt. She
attended Roder Grade School and graduated from Neillsville High School.
Following graduation, she worked for the Clark County Soil Conservation Service
at Neillsville. Following her marriage to Ronald Boushon, they farmed for
several years at Chili. After their retirement from Weyerhaeuser Corporation
they bought a lake home at Spooner and did volunteer work until her death. Carol
enjoyed gardening, needle work, reading, working at the local food pantry and
was a member of the Lions Club.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ronald of Spooner, brothers, Harold (Joan)
Holt of Sheboygan, and Robert (Patricia) Holt of Spooner; sister, Joyce (Jonas)
Schommer of Racine; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Holt; and nephew,
Daniel Holt.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the St.
Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Anderson officiating. Visitation
will be at the church Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Interment will follow at
the Spooner Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Frank Gray, Mike Saunders, Joe Banach, Mark Schultz, Chuck
Adams and John Meacham.
