Kenneth Bravener and Michael Karlen accompanied Wayne Birkett as junior
representatives of the Future Farmers of America at a cooperative meeting in
Madison Monday and Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Karlen, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Missling and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph
Wendt attended an AMPI meeting in Marshfield Monday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Verschay of La Crosse spent the weekend with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Verschay.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schumacher, who were called by the death of her father,
Edgar Opdyke, returned to their home in Enterprise, Ala., Friday. They were
accompanied by her mother, who will spend the winter at their home.
Leonard Johnson is a patient at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire since November 14.
Weekend guests of Mrs. Glen Drew were here children, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Drew
and family of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. James Turnquist and family.
Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester were Mrs. Elva Lewis
and Mrs. Allen Lewis and children, Kim and Kelly, of Milwaukee.
Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Eleanor Plank were her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Durward Schwarze of Granton and Miss Louise Keiner.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger were guests Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Bert Brown in Thorp.
Mrs. Anna Verschay and Mrs. Marie Jeras spent from Tuesday until Friday at the
home of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Henry Isaacson in Marshfield.
