Neillsville Locals (23 November 1972)
Jon Karnitz of Wisconsin Rapids spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Dorothy
Karnitz, and hunted deer in the area. His wife, June, brought him to Neillsville
and then picked up her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rothenburger, and took them
back to Wisconsin Rapids to spend the weekend at her home. Mrs. Karnitz brought
her parents back Sunday and picked up her husband, whose hunting party bagged
two deer. Mrs. Dorothy Karnitz’s sister, Mrs. Nina Rush of Merrillan, also spent
the weekend with her.
Diamond Rebekah Lodge No. 64 will meet next on December 13, election of officers
will be held.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Urlaub returned last Monday after a 10-day visit with their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bryan, in Morgantown, Ky. Enroute
home they spent the weekend in Chicago visiting his two sisters and
brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Willard and Mr. and Mrs. William Gilies, and
his brother, Bill Urlaub, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel drove to Marshfield last Wednesday where they
had an unplanned meeting with a relative, Mrs. Langner, and several of her
friends from Augusta. All had dinner together.
