On Wednesday, July 4th, 1951 members of the Russell Mead family enjoyed a
get-together at the Mead home.
All six of their children and all 11 of their grandchildren were present for the
occasion.
Two of their son, Roger Mead, who arrived in the states from Guam, and Seaman
Robert Mead, Great Lakes, Ill., were home on leave at that time.
Those present for the occasion included Mr. and Mrs. Max Harms and sons Jerry
and Larry, and daughter Ann, Big Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Worden and son,
David and Kenneth and daughter, Phyllis, Pamela and Sue Ellen, Loyal; Mr. and
Mrs. James Mead and daughter, Lynda Lee, Waukesha; and Mr. and Mrs. Burien Cook
and son Robert and daughter Gloria Jean, Chicago.
