Quicker, Ora (25 June 1905 - 7 December 1972)

Mrs. Roland Quicker, 67, a Granton resident since the time of her marriage, died suddenly at her home Thursday morning December 7. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Granton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Melvin Nickel officiated and interment was made in the Windfall Cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Quicker, the former Ora Montgomery, was born June 25, 1905, in Plymouth. Her marriage to Roland Quicker took place May 4, 1926, in Granton.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Faye) Opelt of Neillsville and Mrs. Richard (Romelle) Gillard of Auburn, Wash.; a son Ronald Quicker of Sumner, Wash.; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Otto Holnbach of Loyal, and by three brothers, Peter Montgomery of Phillips, Allen Montgomery of Gran ton and Byrl Montgomery of Enumclaw, Wash.

Pallbearers were: Ray Hoeft, Dan Garbisch, Joe Dachel, Francis Steiner, Max Opelt and Norman Braatz.

“Have Thine Own Way, Lord” and “The Old Rugged Cross” were sung by Ellis Wall. Mrs. Lee Garbisch was the organist.
