Debevec, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Silver - 13 December 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Debevec observed their silver wedding anniversary last Saturday night at a surprise party arranged by their daughters and their son-in-law, Neal Tytor.

The Debevec family attended mass together at 8 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Mertens officiating. After the church service about 200 people gathered at the West Side Hall where dancing and a lunch were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Debevec received congratulatory cards and gifts, including a portrait of their children and their son-in-law. The anniversary cake was made by Mrs. Robert Susa.

Robert Debevec and Josephine Guth were married in Chicago, Ill., at St. Rose Lima Catholic Church on December 23, 1947. Their attendants were Stanley Guth and Tillie Guth. They have six daughters, Susan, Mrs. Neal (Joanne) Tytor of Willard, Sandra, Arlene, Marjorie and Laura. A son, Ronald is deceased.

The Debevec’s lived in Chicago for five years and came to Willard 20 years ago. They are farming where Mr. Debevec’s parents lived.

Friends and relatives from Withee, Hudson, Greenwood, Eau Claire, Willard and Chicago, Ill., attended the party.
