The first Ewan-Gierl reunion was held at the Johnson Township building on July
19.
Approximately 75 adults and children enjoyed a potluck luncheon.
Of special interest was a display of pictures, newspaper articles and history
booklets of the ancestors from both the Ewan and Gierl families.
At one time in the late 1800’s, on CTH A, from Corinth (where Stallman’s Skylite
was once located) east to STH 97, an Ewan ancestor lived on each of the farms
located on the north side of that highway.
