Lipka, Josephine (19 March 1889 - 14 December 1972)
Mrs. Antone (Josephine) Lipka, 83, a resident of Hatfield for the last 27 years,
died December 14 at Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for a week.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Langlois-Galston Funeral
Home in Black River Falls with the Rev. Richard Hansen of the United Methodist
Church officiating. Burial was made in the Hatfield Cemetery.
The former Josephine Uceny was born March 19, 1899, in Chicago, Ill., and was
married there in June of 1911 to Antone Lipka. The couple observed their golden
wedding anniversary in 1961. Mr. Lipka died July 13, 1969. After their marriage
they lived in Tama, Ia., where he was engaged in the meat and grocery business
until moving to Hatfield when they retired in 1945.
Survivors include a son, Victor Lipka of Kansas City, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs.
Joe Prusa of Hatfield and Mrs. George Kolben of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three
brothers, Victor Uceny of Fox River Grove, Ill., Gustav Uceny of Long Beach,
Calif.; and three grandchildren.
