Chili (11 January 1973)

Mrs. Jean Stringer sustained a fracture of her left forearm Christmas even when her hand slipped from a water faucet and struck the side of the bath tub when she was drawing a bath for her sister. A neighbor, Rex Neinas, took Mrs. Stringer to the Marshfield hospital for treatment. Her arm is now in a cast.

Fremont Homemakers are to meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lyle Doehr.

Mrs. Bud Rand returned home last Wednesday from the Marshfield hospital where she underwent surgery the previous Friday.

Goldenrod Homemakers are to meet today (Thursday) at the home of Mrs. Leo Roehl.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lindow entertained last Tuesday evening and on Sunday in honor of the second birthday of their daughter, Kristin. Guests Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Neinas, Mrs. Helen Lindow and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lindow and Marilyn. Guests Sunday, in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lindow and Marilyn, included Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wolf of Mercer and Mr. and Mrs. David Wolk and son, Tyler, of Manawa.

King’s Couples of Immanuel United Methodist Church met Tuesday evening at the parsonage.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hamann and her mother, Mrs. Bill Smart, all of Butternut, called Monday at the Ray Mundt home. The Hamanns were married December 30 at Butternut. Mrs. Hamann is the former Nancy Smart.
