Ralph Meek spent the first of the week at Madison on business.
The Kings Daughters will meet with Mrs. Geo. Poole on Wednesday, March 2nd.
Hugo Haglund arrived here from Chicago last Thursday for an extended visit with
relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jolivette have rented the Arnold Beyer residence and moved into
same this week.
Norman Colby, assistant principal at Auburndale, arrived here last Friday
evening, being ill. At present he is very sick at the A.S. Armstrong home with
Scarlet Fever.
Miss Emma Heggesta of Hixton is visiting here at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed
Jolivette.
H.J. Wollenberg of Detroit arrived here last Saturday for a few days visit at
the F.F. Wollenberg and Dr. K.W. Baker homes.
County Clerk Ole C. Andersen last week paid bounties on 11 wolves and one fox, a
total of $112. It would appear that wolves are plentiful in these parts.
Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Buker attended the bankers convention at Eau Claire Tuesday.
Dale Varney attended the American Legion meeting at Marshfield Saturday and
Sunday.
Mrs. Harry Hogue had the misfortune to fall and break her right arm. The
accident happened last week.
Mrs. N.J. Carter returned from St. Paul Friday, where she had been to purchase
her spring line of millinery/
Paul Blum of Marshfield is visiting at the Jos. Merkel home.
C.J. Carter, with a crew of men, is busy cutting ice, which have twelve carloads
to get out for our neighboring village.
George Jensen, known here as Chris Jensen, died at the City Hospital at St. Paul
Feb. 17th. The body was brought to Greenwood for burial Tuesday.
