The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Ole Moberg Friday afternoon, April 29th.

The American Legion will meet in the Legion rooms at the old schoolhouse, Wednesday, May 4th.

Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Greene were over Sunday visitors with relatives and friends at Augusta.

There will be a barn dance at Joe Trattar's Saturday evening, May 7th. Music by Loyal Orchestra. Everybody is welcome.

The Reformed Aid will be entertained by Mrs. C. Zimmerman Thursday, May 5th.

There will be a baseball dance at Loyal, Friday evening, April 29th. The dance is given for the benefit of the Loyal ball team and deserves a good crowd.

Mrs. Leonard of Marshfield spent the latter part of last week here with Mrs. T. Fahey.

Harry Moberg and family of Marshfield were over Sunday visitors here with relatives and friends.

Mrs. W.H. Smith and son Harold were over Sunday visitors at Fairchild.

Mr. Needham of Fennimore arrived here last week for a visit with his daughter, Mrs. Paul Borham.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Getman and daughter of Hixton are visiting at the E.A. Elmer home, east of the city.

There will be a program and basket social at the North Willard School Saturday evening, April 30, at 8:30 o'clock.

Bennie Johnson was up from Stevens Point the latter part of last week for a visit with relatives and friends.

The county assessors will hold their annual meeting at Neillsville tomorrow, April 29th.

Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Andrews, Mr. E. Bowen and Mrs. Thomas returned from California Monday, where they spent the winter.

The Citizens' Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting next Monday, May 3, at 2:30 in the council rooms. All citizens interest in the cemetery are requested to be present and help this work along.

Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Devos and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hewitt of Neillsville were visitors in our city Monday.

John Swieso, a farmer in the town of Beaver, hanged himself Tuesday morning. No motive for the ace is known. He leaves a wife and four children.

Mrs. Otto Behrens entertained a number of ladies last Wednesday in honor of Mrs. W.H. Smith, who will move to Fairchild next week. Mrs. Millie Smith will entertained tonight.

Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Pratt and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Schwarze autoed to Jim Falls Sunday, where they spent the day at the Jim Tyrill home.

Mrs. Paul Borham was taken to the Chippewa Falls Hospital Tuesday, here she underwent an operation. Her husband and father accompanied her.

Frank Merkel and Mike Wagner and son returned to their homes after spending several days here at the Jos. Merkel home.

Dr. and Mrs. K.W. Baker went to Wis. Rapids this morning, where they will visit relatives and friends until Saturday.

H. Warner returned from Westboro this morning, where he spent several days on business. Hank reports a snow fall of 4 inches there on Wednesday.

Sunday was warm and windy, Monday was warmer yet. Both were unusual April days. The weather is getting so unreliable that nobody can predict safely, not even the ground hog. One day we have summer heat and a few days later a blizzard. But take it as it comes. There are a lot of things worse than weather.
