Hielbsch, Mr./Mrs. Frank (25 Jun 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hiebsch of Colby celebrated their 25^th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 25, with an open house at St. Mary’s Catholic school gymnasium in the afternoon.

Mr. Hiebsch was born in Austria and came to this county with his parents when he was six years old.  They settled on a farm north of Curtiss where he was raised.

Mrs. Hiebsch, the former Margaret Jordon, was born on a farm near Colby.  She attended schools in Colby and later worked as a clerk there.  In 1914 she was married to John Schommer and the couple had nine children.  Her first husband died in 1939.Mr. and Mrs. Hiebsch were married June 25, 1942, at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, with the Rev. Leo Lange officiating.  Their attendants were Jack and Angie Frinak of Colby.They lived on his farm, next to his home farm until 1964 when the move to Colby.
