Neuman, Sandra Diane (24 Jun 1967)
On June 24, Sandra Diane Neuman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Neuman, route 1, Unity, became the bride of Randy Robert Kocian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kocian, route 2 Colby. The 3 p.m. ceremony took place at the Alliance church, Owen, with Rev. Lowell Anderson officiating.
For her wedding the bride designed her gown of white satin. It had a lace bodice and sleeves, scalloped neckline, tiered lace insert in skirt front, and beaded with seed pearls. Her train was lace over satin and attached to the dress with a bow at the shoulder line. Silk illusion veiling was held by a crown of crystal and pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Mrs. Larry Makeef, identical twin of the bride, of Spencer, Miss Lilli Marlene Neuman, and Miss JoAnne Pflanzer of Colby were attendants of the bride.
Their dresses, made by the groom’s mother, were floor length of orchid satin. Orchid lace jackets accented the dresses. Their headpieces were of matching satin bows and veils, and they carried bouquets of orchid and white gardenias.
Mr. and Mrs. Mantik provided music and accompanied Mrs. Allen Duvall as she sang “Together Life’s Pathway We Tread” and “Wedding Prayer”.
Out of town guest came from Minnesota, Howell, Mich., Rockford, Des Plaines and Elgin, Ill., Wausau, Merrill, Thorp, Athens, Loyal, Milwaukee, Butternut, Manitowoc, Stanley, Green Bay, Stetsonville and Greenwood. Also many friends from the Colby and Unity area attended.
The former Miss Neuman is a 1966 graduate of Colby high school, and has been employed by the Thorp Finance Corp. The groom, a 1963 graduate of Colby high school, is an electrician at Pathfinder Mobile Homes, Spencer.
