Geo. Morrison is visiting relatives in this vicinity.
A large crowd attended the Ladies Aid and Mothers' Club picnic at the W. Surface
home last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Kile entertained company from Augusta Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Surface and son Ralph of Illinois are visiting at the Walter
Surface home here.
Mrs. Barringer and son Walter of Waterloo, Iowa, arrived Saturday for a visit at
the Cole home.
Several from here attended the ceremony of the laying of the cornerstone of the
new county asylum.
The Mothers' Club will hold their regular meeting at the schoolhouse Thursday,
Aug. 25th.
The Lange Man passed through this vicinity Saturday.
Those who have been away threshing spent the weekend at home.
Miss Hattie Kile has been employed at the Geo Haas home near Thorp.
