Mrs. Regina Ellenbecker, 84, died at a Milwaukee hospital Sunday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m.

The body was brought to the Gilles Funeral Home at Athens where rosary services were held Wednesday. A mass of requiem was sung at St. Anthony’s Catholic church, Athens, after which interment was made in the Athens cemetery. Grand sons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ellenbecker was born Regina Boser at Frissville near Milwaukee Aug. 13, 1882. She was married to Christ Ellenbecker and the couple farmed in the Milan area. Mr. Ellenbecker preceded his wife in death in September, 1950.

Mrs. Ellenbecker came to Abbotsford and for six years lived at the Mrs. Helena Woempner home. For the past six years she has been a resident at the Catholic Mothers’ Home at Milwaukee.

Surviving her are six sons and two daughters, Arnold, Alfred and Joe, Milwaukee, Bernard, Unity, Clarence and Arthur, Dorchester, Mrs. Leo (Margaret) Ryan, Lawndale, Calif., and Sr. Mary Peter of Milwaukee.

One son, Wilbur, preceded her in death in June, 1962.

Mrs. Ellenbecker is also survived by 54 grand children and 53 great grand children and one brother, Matt Boser, Edgar.
