Bielecki, Louis Joseph (14 November 1926 - 4 September 2014)
Louis J. Bielecki, Sr., age 87, of Thorp passed away peacefully with his family
by his side on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Golden Living Center Three Oaks
in Marshfield. Funeral Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9,
2014, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Rev. Janusz Kowalski
officiated and burial followed in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Brady Bielecki, Garret Bielecki, Shawn Knudsen, Travis
Klonecki, Larry Knudsen, and Steve Budzinski. Visitation was held on Tuesday,
September 9, 2014, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Louis Joseph Bielecki was born on November 14, 1926, on the home farm in the
Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, WI, a son of Stanley and Bessie (Brzezinski)
Bielecki. He was raised on the family farm and educated at area schools. He was
united in marriage to Marian Cieslek in Hudson, WI on May 26, 1951. Louie was
employed at E. J. Crane and Son’s feed mill, ITT Life Insurance Corp., and
retired as a custodian at Morgan Plaza.
Louie enjoyed going to their cabin on Lake Holcombe. He was an avid fisherman
who always enjoyed finding a new ‘hot spot’. He also enjoyed bowling, ice
fishing, and a good card game with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marian Bielecki of Thorp; his son, Louie
(Beth) Bielecki of Thorp; his daughter, Donna (Larry) Knudsen of Willard; four
grandchildren: Crystal (Travis) Klonecki of Willard, Brady (Kari) Bielecki of
Thorp, Shawn (Sara) Knudsen of Neillsville, and Garret (Rachel) Bielecki of
Thorp; and four great-grandchildren: Brayden, Haylee, Maci, and Blake.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joseph; two brothers:
Thomas and Johnny; and one sister, Lillian.
