Utter, Anna "Ann" Elizabeth (Rau) (8 NOV 1928 - 6 SEP 2014)

Anna "Ann" Elizabeth Utter, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at A Touch Of Home in Marshfield.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield assisted the family with arrangements.

Ann was born on November 8, 1928 to John and Johanna (Schmuda) Rau in the town of Goodrich. She attended school in Goodrich and graduated from Medford High School. On August 5, 1950, she married DeVere Utter in Marshfield. Ann lived on Peach Street and worked at Consumers as a clerk and a crossing guard for 36 years.

Anna was fond of dogs and cats. She enjoyed taking care of and walking her dog and the neighbors' dogs. She also enjoyed playing bingo, visiting and going out to lunch with her friends and nieces.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Theresia Faber, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Johanna; her husband, DeVere; two sisters, Agnes and Hedwig (John) Lechmaier; as well as three brothers, Joseph, John (Myrtle) and Henry (Helen). She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Peter Faber.

Anna's family would like to thank everyone who visited Ann while she was in hospice care.
