Christie, Fred (12 October 1883 - 31 January 1973)

Funeral services for a Town of Weston native, Fred Christie, 89, of memorial Home, who died January 31, were held Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the Town of Weston Cemetery.

Mr. Christie, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew (Caroline) Christie, was born October 12, 1883, in the Town of Weston and was educated there. He lived and farmed in the Christie area for most of his lifetime.

Survivors include the following nephews: Merrill Stanley of Chetek, Leo Stanley and Ray Shaw of Greenwood and Everett Shaw of Neillsville.
