Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Murphy visited at the Geo. Poole home last Thursday.
Mrs. Rob McGregor and children moved here from the southern part of the state
last week to be with her husband who is running the Schwarze Blacksmith Shop.
They moved into the Schofield house.
Ed Klinke, Mrs. Jos. Merkel and Mrs. H. Warner autoed to Marshfield Tuesday for
a short visit.
G. Liszy and family moved onto their farm in West Beaver last week.
The German Ladies Society of the West Side will meet with Miss Ida Meinholdt on
Wednesday, Nov. 23rd.
A surprise party was given at the L.C. Clute home last Thursday eveing in honor
of Ed Arends, the occasion being Ed's birthday. A most pleasant time was had by
all present.
Mrs. T.C. Parr, who has been at Eau Claire for the past few weeks, returned home
last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Blum of Marshfield called at the Jos. Merkel and H. Warner
home homes last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Einfeldt spent Sunday at the Geo. Poole home.
J.H. Fradette returned from Eau Claire Saturday, where he attended the teachers
convention, which was held Thursday and Friday.
Miss Allie Williams of Necedah was an over Sunday visitor here at the John
Drummond home.
Mr. and Mrs. Pauley of Kaiser were over Sunday visitors here at the home of
their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Leach. While here they purchased
the Joe Klinke residence and will move here next spring.
The Wesley Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Wm. Bartelt Thursday afternoon, Nov.
3rd. Everybody come.
Mrs. L.C. Clute had the misfortune last week to fall and badly cut her leg. It
required several stitches to sew up the wound.
Mrs. Snyder came up from Neillsville last Saturday for a visit at the home of
her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wellen Hartson.
Mrs. M.E. Kenyon and son returned from Milwaukee Tuesday, where they spent
several days with Mr. Kenyon's parents.
Mrs. Geo. Poole entertained Mesdames Warner, Albert Schwarze, Currie, Moore and
F. Huntzicker last Thursday afternoon.
Ralph Meek and family of Rib Lake spent the latter part of the week here with
relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hemp was taken suddenly ill Tuesday and rushed to the hospital at Chippewa
Falls, where she underwent an operation for ulcers and appendicitis. She is
getting along nicely.
Mrs. C.E. Nelson and son, who have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Nelson's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Poole, left for their home at Darlington Tuesday.
