The Women’s Guild met Wednesday afternoon in Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Elmer Kuester presided. The Bible lesson was presented by Mrs. Pacifico
Camarin. It was voted to give a monetary gift to the Sunday school. Mrs. Norbert
Kuester and Mrs. Alvin Albert will represent the church in the program for the
World Day of Prayer service in the Holy Family Catholic Church March 2. The next
meeting will be held March 7. Hostesses will be Mrs. Emil Noah and Mrs. Arno
Miller.
Mrs. Beatrice Jones held open house Sunday in honor of the 13th birthday of her
daughter, Darlene. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Braun, Mrs. Leon
Kuester and children, Mrs. Clarissa Steele, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie, Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Neuenfeldt, Mrs. Henry Trampush and children, Mr. and Mrs. George
Sherwood, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Sherwood, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Sherwood and
children, the Rev. and Mrs. Eugene Antrim, Mr and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, Mrs. Gigi
Plautz, Margaret and Elmer Horner, Mrs. George Speich, Mrs. Peggy Hagen, Mrs.
Dora Susa, and Mrs. Elinor Alsterberg and children.
Mrs. Edith Stafford entertained the Tuesday afternoon 500 club at her home.
