Kolstad, Emil Richard (31 July 1880 - 16 February 1973)

Emil Richard Kolstad, 92, of Willard died February 16 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. David Wenger, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Greenwood, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Kolstad was born in Norway July 31, 1880. He came to Greenwood in 1883. He was married to Alma Rosen in Greenwood on June 15, 1910. They lived on a farm west of Greenwood. Mrs. Kolstad died in 1960.

Survivors are two sons, Everett Kolstad of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Arthur Kolstad of Willard, and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers at the service were Godfrey Dyre, Clarence Verhulst, Francis Hansen, Joseph Boe, Jack Barr and Harry Meinhardt.
