Alperstett, (Marriage - 10 February 1973)

Miss Kaye Louis Alperstett became the bride of Travis Wilmont West, Jr., in a double-ring ceremony performed Saturday evening, February 10, in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. David Wenger officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Alperstett of Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Travis West, Sr., also of Greenwood, are the groom’s parents.

For the wedding, the bride chose an Empire-style gown of white satin fashioned with lace bodice and sleeves. She carried an arrangement of white mums and daisies with pink baby roses as she was given in marriage by her parents.

Maid of honor Miss Jane Ahlers, Madison, appeared in an Empire-style orchid gown trimmed with white lace and featuring a back bow.

Serving as bestman was Mike Speich of Wisconsin Rapids. Ed Gregorich, Jr., La Crosse, acted as usher.

Soloist Harry Gordee, Eau Claire, sang “The Wedding Prayer.” A recessional trumpet voluntary was played by Henry Barcell. Berdell Neilsen was the organist.

The new Mrs. West attended the University of Wisconsin -Eau Claire and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her husband is a 1971 graduate of Greenwood High School. The couple will live in Spencer where the groom is employed.
