Washburn (22 February 1973)
Mrs. Albert Lincoln and her father, Ed Falgenhaurer, Mrs. John Reinart, Mrs.
Regina Prewitt, Mrs. William Matuszak and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short, the ladies,
all members of Washburn Homemakers club, went to Bryan Home last week Thursday
and entertained with a Valentine party. They played bingo with the men, with a
prize for each, and also presented each man with a Valentine. Mrs. Prewitt
played several selections on her accordion. A lunch was served by the ladies and
Mrs. Bryan.
Joann Huth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Huth, Jr., enlisted in the service
recently and last week went to Ft. McClellan, Ala., where she is stationed.
Mrs. Arnold Huth, Jr., fell on the ice Saturday night and fractured her right
arm. She was taken to Memorial Hospital Sunday morning where it was set and put
in a cast.
The Washburn Homemakers club meeting which was to have been with Mrs. George
Gorbet last week will be held at a later date.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mortenson had their home insulated last week.
Everett Juntunen is a patient at Memorial Hospital since February 8, with
pneumonia and shingles.
