Mrs. William Nagel and her brother Fred Alber of Milwaukee returned today from
White Lake, South Dakota, where they visited their sister and other relatives in
the past ten days.
Mrs. Allan Brown and daughter arrived Friday from Virginia, Minn., to make their
home here. Mr. Browne, proprietor of the coffeeshop, has been here several
weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith entertained members of the VFW post and auxiliary at an
old time dance at Cherokee Saturday night in celebration of their silver wedding
anniversary.
Royal Archambo left Friday for Sheboygan and spent the weekend with his family,
returning here Sunday night. They all attended the wedding of a cousin at Little
Chute.
Jack Nikolay, who is a student at the University of Wisconsin, arrived Friday to
be here until time to register for the fall term.
The Catholic Ladies Altar Society met at the home of Mrs. H. F. Moberg Wednesday
afternoon. The assisting hostesses were Mrs. Leo Bauer, Mrs. Chris Bremer, Mrs.
Frank Geiger, Mrs. Frank Lucas, Mrs. W. Lofland, and Mrs. Harold Esser. The next
meeting will be held October 17. The attendance prize was won by Mrs. Fred
Dietsche. Mrs. George Calmes was also present as a guest.
