Neillsville Locals (1 March1973)

Mrs. Agnes Bender and grandchildren, Lee, Lori and Lynette Bender, all of rural Loyal, were dinner and supper guests and spend the afternoon with Mrs. Hattie Forman last Sunday.

Mrs. Richard Witte and Mrs Ellen Johnson attended the general board meeting of the Eau Claire conference of the American Lutheran Church Women February 13 in Downsville. The quarterly general meeting of Calvary Lutheran Church Women will be held this (Thursday) evening at the church. A film program is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Pachal and family of Loyal were dinner and supper guests last Sunday of the Alvin Lavene family in the Town of York.

Pine Valley Homemakers met February 21 at the home of Mrs. Paul Bieneck. The program, “The Right to Be Heard,” was presented by Mrs. Richard Albrecht and Mrs. Bernard Dodte.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Larsen, together with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wall, drove to Chippewa Falls recently to visit Mr. Larsen’s cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Christensen.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blum spent a weekend in Wausau recently with Mr. and Mrs. Randy Briggs, former Neillsville residents. Mr. Briggs was with the Soil Conservation Service here a number of years.
