Seliskar, Todd P. (2 NOV 1967 – 16 SEP 2014)
Todd P. Seliskar, 46, Wausau, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 16,
2014, at Vernon Memorial Hospital, Viroqua. A gathering for family and friends
was held from 4-7 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 22, at St. Therese Catholic
Church, Wausau. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at
Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Rev. Steve Brice officiated. Burial of
cremains followed in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Todd Philip Seliskar was born on Nov. 2, 1967, in Stanley, the son of James P.
and Evelyn O. (nee Vetterkind) Seliskar. He was raised and received his
education in the Greenwood area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1986.
Todd then attended the Trans American School of Broadcasting in Wausau. After
completing the course in broadcasting, he went to work for WAOW Channel 9,
Wausau, where he worked for 25 years. He married Deanne Hayes and they later
divorced. Todd was currently employed with WSAW Channel 7, Wausau, and also
worked seasonally for A&P Enterprises, and as a crossing guard for the Wausau
Police Department. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Wausau, where
he often served as an usher, and he was a former member of the Jaycees. Todd had
many interests, but especially loved sports and running, and he volunteered for
many community activities.
He will be dearly missed by his mother, Evelyn Seliskar, Greenwood; one brother,
Randall (Lori) Seliskar, Loyal; one sister, Yvonne, Woodbury, Minn.; two
nephews, Chris and Alex; one niece, Katie; his special friend, Jodi Tessmer,
Wausau; and other relatives and friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, James, on Sept. 26, 1997; and one
nephew, Daniel, on July 15, 2014.
