Robert McConnell transacted business at Marshfield Friday.
Mrs. M.E. Kenyon went to Milwaukee yesterday for a visit with relatives and
friends.
Paul Rossman and family of Wausau were Xmas visitors here with relatives and
friends.
After Jan. 1, 1922 it will not be necessary to pay an internal revenue stamp tax
on parcel post mail. Proprietary revenue stamps will also be withdrawn on Jan.
1st.
J.W. Sharpe of route five left Monday for Forest County, where he will spend
several days with relatives and friends.
The German Ladies Aid of the West Side will meet with Mrs. Otto Decker for
dinner Wednesday, Jan. 11th.
John Fradette, who attends Eau Claire Normal, is spending his Xmas vacation her
at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Fradette.
Elmer Braun from the University of Minnesota is spending his vacation with his
parents on the West Side.
Mr. and Mrs. Talford Bea of Stevens Point spent the latter part of last week
here at the Albert Schwarze home.
Miss Leona Francis, who attends Normal at Eau Claire, is spending her vacation
here with relatives and friends.
Helmer Hembre, who teaches at Mondora, is spending his vacation here at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Iver Hembre, on route three.
Wm. Hogue visited his father at the Marshfield Hospital last Friday.
Jack Wall returned to Chicago last Saturday, where he will spend the winter.
Floyd Cronin, who attends W.B.U. at La Crosse, is spending his vacation at his
home here.
Neil Johnson of Chicago is visiting here at the R.A. Masters home.
Miss Bertha Atkins of Stevens Point is visiting here with friends.
Prof. and Mrs. T.C. Parr are visiting relatives and friends at Eau Claire and
Augusta.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart of Chippewa Falls were over Sunday visitors here at the
Rees and Wallis homes.
Miss Amy Colby, teacher at Fond du Lac, is spending her vacation here at the A.S.
Armstrong home.
Mrs. H. Brockway went to Millston last Friday for a few days visit at the home
of her son, Archie Ketchum and family.
The Greenwood Roller Mill has been completely overhauled and remodeled and will
start grinding wheat today.
Carroll Behrens, who is employed at Hamburg, is spending the holidays here with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Behrens.
Mrs. Kenyon of Stevens Point is visiting ehre at the home of her son, M.E.
Kenyon.
Mrs. Fred Oelig and Miss Mabel Bishop were visitors at Chippewa Falls last week.
Miss Mae McNamara left yesterday for Stevens Point, where she will spend several
days with rleatives and friends.
Mrs. Wm. Smith and son Harold returned to Fairchild yesterday, after spending
several days here with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Pratt returned from Jim Falls yesterday, where they spent Xmas
at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Tyrell.
The W.C.T.U. will meet Tuesday evening, Jan. 3 at the home of Mrs. John Arends.
All members are requested to be present, as there is going to be initiation of
new members.
