Tullis, William (29 August 1892 - 16 March 1973)

Word was received Friday noon by Mr. and Mrs. Louie Schultz of Neillsville that their brother-in-law, William Tullis, 80, of Waukesha, died that morning suddenly. He was taken to the hospital the preceding Monday with chest and arm pains. He was feeling good on Friday a.m. and told his nurse he was going to take a shower. When he didn’t come out of the shower room the nurse found he had died in the shower.

Mr. and Mrs. Tullis lived on a farm in Sherwood, on the Washburn-Sherwood town line, just east of Cannonville for many years. Mrs. Tullis belonged to the Cannonville Ladies Aid and the Birthday club for many years.

Mr. Tullis was employed at a mobile home factory in Marshfield for many years before retiring. They sold their farm and moved to Waukesha eight or 10 years ago, where they have resided since.

Mr. Tullis was born in Iowa August 29, 1892. He was married to Isabelle Pschiedt November 6, 1918. They celebrated their golden anniversary at the American Legion Hall in Neillsville, and also celebrated their anniversary later at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hartenson, in Waukesha.

Surviving besides his wife are a son, George; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Hartenson; and three grandchildren.
