Hagedorn, Bonnie (Marriage - 17 March 1973)
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Globe, was the setting Saturday for the
marriage of Miss Bonnie Hagedorn and Rick Thoma. The Rev. Robert Bitter
officiated at the 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed before 175 guests.
Bouquets of peppermint carnations and white pompons decorated the altar. Parents
of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hagedorn and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thoma, all
of Rt. 3 Neillsville.
The bride chose a gown fashioned with a venise lace bodice and a three-tiered,
nylon tulle skirt. Each tier was edged with lace and sequins. She carried and
arrangement of red roses, baby’s breath and stephanotis as she was presented in
marriage by her father.
Mrs. David McDonald, Granton, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
David Hoppa, Neillsville, and Miss Beth Hanson, Marshfield. Their white bodice
gowns with navy blue flared skirts were accented by red ribbon encircled
waistlines. Bouquets of red carnations, white daisies and baby’s breath
completed their ensembles.
Ronald Oldham, Granton, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Hoppa and Bruce
Hagedorn. Guests were seated by Charles Hagedorn and Franklin Mitte.
The newlyweds greeted guests later at a reception at the Wildcat Inn, where
tables were decorated with candle, ribbon and flower arrangements.
The new Mrs. Thoma is a 1971 graduate of Neillsville High School. Her husband
graduated from the same school in 1968. Both are employed locally. The couple
will make their home on Rt. 3 Neillsville.
