Merrill, Maude E. (24 JAN 1922)
A quiet wedding took place at the Aug. Stabnow home in West Beaver (Clark Co.,
Wis.), Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1922, when Miss Maud Evelyn Merrill was united in the
holy bonds of wedlock to Leroy Edgar Stabnow. Miss Merrill is a daughter of
James Merrill. Leroy is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Stabnow, all of the
town of Beaver. The bride wore blue crepe de chine. Only immediate relatives of
the contracting parties, with Rev. and Mrs. Beckell and daughter Vivian
witnessed the ceremony, which took place at about eleven o'clock, after which a
dinner was served and the young people, mid shower of rice, left for their new
shanty near the Eau Claire. The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending
congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy weeded life.
